| I work in the customer service industry and I look out for so many different things. The staff at Chiang Mai gate are so great, they took so much time in helping us, not just point to the map, they explained much more and gave quality info. On leaving as I said bye and thank you to the lady I was checking out with, all the staff behind the desk said goodbye, this was a memorable experience. Next trip to Thailand will be worked around Chiang Mai gate, as I do not want to stay anywhere else. You may say this is their job, maybe but I felt that they all enjoyed what they did and nothing was false. Please pass on my thank you to all at reception for me. A very happy John

| chiangmai gate hote is a clean, graceful hotel with spacious public areas for you to relax and meditate. The atmosphere is so wonderful that you can't resist to come back again.
I recommend that chiangmai gate hotel is your best choice when you come to Chinagmai. It offers you best accommadation, serene atmosphere, clean environment at a very resonable low price. Especially, it locates just between the airport and the old city. you can get anywhere within walking distance. Besides enjoying the convenient the city offers you, you can even get a real feeling of rural life.
Shopping Tip : The two shopping malls and old city is just five minutes away from chiangmai gate hotel.

| The first time I stayed there on recomdation by friends . I will sure stay there again , also because it is not too fare from night bazar by tuktuk of red bus.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip : Just across the soi ,near the canal is a very nice market .
Nice and cosy coffeshop , karaoke in the evening.Swimming Pool is ok and all staff is very friendly.

| Second time I stay in Chiang Mai Gate and it was as last time a good experience. This hotel offer exactly what hotels of this category should. The location is really convenient, nertby the old city, sunday and saturday and just 5 minutes of tuk tuk of Night Bazar for the people who really want to get there.
Shopping Tip : Saturday market is just 100 meters form there, and not much tourists !

| The hotel is in a very quite location. They have also a free shuttle service to the night market and the airport transfer is very cheap just 70 baht per person. The laundry service was perfect and cheap and they deliver the same day. Very good aircondition but we did not use because it was not hot. Tv with english channel. Our room had the balcony, big room but cosy atmosphere.
Restaurant Tip : Next to the hotel a very good bakery

| Rooms spotless and in nice traditional Lanna thai style with wooden doors into the bathroom etc. Great location close to southern entrance gate of the old city. Great night market nearby for cheap authentic thai food. Nice pool area to relax and get away from the traffic.
Room balcony had no table/chairs to use
We booked this hotel having never been to Chiang Mai before and were not disappointed. The hotel is located about 5 minutes walk from the City walls (southern gate) and there are great amenities all within a 10 minute walk - including a brilliant night food market which served authentic local thai food and was really cheap! The rooms in the hotel, the lobby and the restaurant were all spotless and the decor in the rooms was also a real feature (traditional Lanna thai style). The only downside (if there is one!) is that our balcony overlooking the pool area had no table or chairs to use/sit at. Highly recommended for a good value good location hotel.
Restaurant Tip : Eat at the local night market by the City gate walls - cheap and delicious authentic thai food!

I have stayed here before a few times and will stay here again on future visits to Chiang Mai. Only a short distance to Chiang Mai centre, a good local market (under 5 min walk) at Chiang Mai Gate, quiet location and friendly staff. Beats all the hotels in the same price bracket and many that are more expensive.

| This was our second stay at Chiang Mai gate and we will be back again. We love the staff from Mr Nonsi the Reservations Manager the baggage clerks to the front desk and house keeping and the wait staff. We booked the deluxe rooms and stayed for four nights so took advantage of the free night special. Chiang Mai gate is a 3 star hotel with a lot of character. The deluxe rooms are large and have a lot of lovely timber detail.They are located at the rear of the property so they are quiet. They also offer interconnecting rooms that are great for families. The rooms are kept really clean by house keeping.
They cater for tour groups usually staying in the standard rooms so things can be hectic at breakfast and early morning in the foyer then quiet for the rest of the day. Meals from the hotel are good value and can be taken poolside if you like. The pool is more than adequate and there is always plenty of pool lounges. The breakfast is buffet with your usual mish mash or Thai and European - including the thai sweet bread for toast. Eggs can be cooked any way as long as it is fried scrambled or omlette - Poached or boiled eggs are yet to make it to the menu. As the room rate is so reasonable if we needed a fix of homestyle bread or cereal we would just go to the super market at the central shopping centre and pick up european bread for toasting and a favourite cereal for the kids. There is a free shuttle bus to the market and some great drivers available just out the front of the hotel. There is a tour desk available and a massage service which is very reasonable by hotel standards. The location is great only 10 minutes from the airport. An easy walk to the fresh food market which is amazing to see first thing in the morning. The walking street market is just around the corner and the night market a 10 minute drive.

| The hotel is in a great position for access to the old town, or the main ring road for exploring the surrounds. It's also only 5 minutes drive from the airport - not that you'd know from the noise(of lack of).
The staff are extremely polite and helpful, and inside, the hotel is well maintained.
The swimming pool is an added bonus.
The only minus is the food: clearly aimed at visitors who only eat toast & fried eggs.
The local food's pretty mild, but still tasty.
The rooms are spacious: most with their own balcony.

| We paid THB1000 per night and were surprised at this hotel! It was fantastic value for money, with very nice rooms, good service, and a nice breakfast. Great location, a 5min walk into town and plenty of good food nearby. It's a 4 star hotel with a hostel price tag. | We enjoyed our stay. Location good, quite quiet and great pool for the days you cant be bothered sightseeing. Expensive for this standard in thailand but not many places have a pool in this area so I was still really glad we went here. We took an overnight tripo to the elphant camp which we booked in the hotel - it was fantastic. Also booked the thai boxing here with ring side seats- well worth it. You wont be overwhelmed by this hotel but not dissappointed either.

| ปีใหม่ ใคร ๆ ก็ไปเหนือกัน ไปปายบ้าง ไปปางอุ๋งบ้าง
ด้วยเหตุที่ชีวิตนี้ไม่เคยขึ้นเหนือเลย ได้ฤกษ์ลาพักร้อน (เหลือเยอะ กลัวไม่ได้ใช้) ขับรถขึ้นเชียงใหม่ครั้งแรกในชีวิต กำหนดการเดิมคือออกเดินทางวันที่ 27 ธันวาคม 2551 ช่วง 5 ทุ่ม
พอถึงจังหวัดเชียงใหม่ ก็ขับรถวนหาโรงแรมที่จองไว้ ทางเป็นวันเวย์มาถึงแรก ๆ ก็เอ๋อ ๆ งง ๆ วนไปมา ในที่สุดก็หาเจอจนได้
ผมจองโรงแรมเชียงใหม่เกต กับ Hotelclub ไว้ 2 คืน เพิ่มเงิน 11$
แต่ด้วยความตื่นเต้นดีใจที่หาโรงแรมเจอ ทำให้ลืมถ่ายรูปด้านหน้า T___T
เข้ามาดูในห้องเลยละกันครับ
ห้องเป็น สไตล์โรงแรมปกติ พนักงานพูดจาดี ไม่เรื่องมาก ทำให้สงสัยว่าตั้งแต่ออกจากกรุงเทพมา พนักงานร้านอาหาร พนักงานโรงแรมตลอดทางมานี่พูดจาและบริการดีทีเดียว โดนติ๊บไปคนละ 20 นอกจากพี่ รปภ.ของทางโรงแรม คอยโบกรถ เข็นรถให้ทั้งวันให้พี่เค้าไปหาคาราบาวแดงกิน 50 บาท ดูเค้าดีใจและมีความสุขมาก
มีไฟฉายฉุกเฉินภายในห้อง และตู้เซฟที่สภาพใหม่มากอยู่ในตู้ด้วยครับ
ภายในห้องน้ำครับ แชมพูกับสบู่ จะเป็นกลิ่นดอกปีบหอมดี ผมชอบ แฟนบอกว่าคนเหนือเค้าเรียกดอกกาสะลอง
โต๊ะเครื่องแป้ง มีเสื้อมวยไทย วางขายด้วยราคาตัวละ 79 บาท
อาหารเช้าเป็น american breakfast และก็ยังมีข้าวต้มและผลไม้
ส่วนของไข่ดาว และออมเล็ท จะเป็นการแจ้งพนักงานว่าจะใส่อะไรบ้าง
แล้วเค้าจะทอดให้ตรงนั้นเลย มองว่าร้อน ๆ สด ๆ มันก็ดี แต่ยืนทอดอยู่คนเดียว คนต่อคิวยาวมาก ถ้าหิวและอยากกินต้องอดทนนิดนึง
หลังจากพักผ่อนหนึ่งคืน ตื่นมาก็ตั้งใจไว้ว่าจะไป บ่อสร้าง
